Dr. Horacio Lucero graduated from Bastrop High School and Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Northwestern University in Chicago before being commissioned into the United States Navy. As a Lieutenant, he was stationed in California before completing his active duty at the Naval base in Kingsville, TX, where he served as Division Officer of the Naval Clinic. He also dedicated four years to the Navy Reserve, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander (LCDR).

A strong advocate for service, Dr. Lucero is passionate about mission work, regularly traveling to provide dental care to underserved communities. He is also an active member of the New Braunfels Rotary Club for over 20 years, the River District Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the Texas Dental Association. Dr. Lucero’s commitment to helping others extends beyond his practice, shaping both his professional and personal life. Whether serving his country, his community, or those in need around the world, he strives to make a meaningful impact wherever he goes. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, gardening, caring for plants, and reflecting his deep appreciation for nature and stewardship of the environment.
